Varagu rice, commonly known as Kodo millet, is one of the most ancient varieties of millet. Varagu rice originated in West Africa and is grown in many parts of India, Nepal and so on.

It is rich in protein, fiber, minerals, vitamins, and antioxidants. It helps lower blood sugar and cholesterol levels. It aids digestion and prevents constipation. It boosts immunity and prevents infections.

  2. Add all the masala’s into the mixer grinder and do like smooth paste well and keep it aside before you start cooking.
  3. Add oil in the cooker and all spices and After frying a minute add little onion and saute in little color change.
  4. Next add salt, chili powder, and masala powder and saute again.
  5. Then add the grinded paste into this cooker fry for 1 minute. When It turns a little aroma then add chicken.
  6. Mix well add coriander leaves and keep 1 whistle don't add water.
  7. After 1 whistle keep the cooker aside. The pressure is down then open the cooker. Add water 3 glasses Keep the stove on high flame and mix the rice well.keep the stove now in low flame Until the rice should be cooked only for 10 min.
  8. Check the rice Once in 2min whether the rice is cooked well . probably 8 to 10 min is fine to cook this rice.
