How to make Mixture at home Evening Snack  South Indian Mixture Recipe

Mixture recipe . One of the popular and delicious South Indian snacks made which you can easily prepare at home with your favourite nuts and spices.

Its is a snack item so crunchy and tasty prepared only for evening snacks or festival occasion.

Ingredients :

for plain omapodi

2 glass besan / gram flour

¼ cup rice flour

pinch of hing / asafoetida

Cooking soda – ¼ sp

Turmeric powder

Butter – ¼ sp

Hot oil – 1 Tsp

salt to taste

water as required (to knead)

 

for plain Boondi

1 glass besan / gram flour

¼ cup rice flour

pinch of hing / asafoetida

Kashmiri chill powder – ¼ sp

Cooking soda – ¼ sp

Turmeric powder

Butter – ¼ sp

Hot oil – 1 Tsp

salt to taste

water as required (mix like idli batter)

 Other ingredients:

  • 2 handful of peanuts / groundnuts
  • 1 handful of roasted chana dal / Fried Gram
  • 1 handful of curry leaves
  • 6 crushed Garlic with skin
  • 1 handful of poha

Add finally to top-up:

  •    ¼  sp red chilli powder
  • ¼ sp of salt

Instruction :

  1. First heat oil in Iron kadai to do plain omapodi.
  2. Mix omapodi ingredients all like chapathi dough.
  3. Apply oil in the omapodi press maker and do omapodi .
  4. In the same oil , mix all the boondi ingredients , make like a idli batter and use boondi maker ladle and make shapes and keep aside .
  5. Again in same oil , fry all the other nuts ingredients one by one in medium flame and keep aside
  6. Finally crushed the omapodi , mix the boondi and all the roasted other ingredients , and Top-Ups
  7. That’s it , ready to serve . keep the snacks in tight containers to store .
