Rasam is a spicy South Indian soup it's serve with rice.
In a traditional South Indian meal, it is part of a sambar rice.
Rasam has a distinct taste in comparison to sambar due to its own seasoning ingredients and is fluid in consistency.
- 1/4 dhal toor - cup
- turmeric powder
- 3 - tomato
- 2 chili green -
- water - as required
- To make rasam powder fry and grind coarsely :-
- 1 - pepper tsp
- 1 seed- coriander tsp
- 1 chilly,green dry chili -
- 1 powder cumin - tsp
- 4 garlic counts
- To saute :-
- 1 oil ghee - 1 tablespoon ,1 tsp
- mustard seed -
- 3 red dry chili
- 2 Tomato Chopped
- rasam powder with Hing powder
- tamarind - lemon size (soak this in 1 cup of water)
- finally add cooked toor dhal
